Step 1
Open the assigned peer evaluation table. Your team members will be populated on the top row. The first column is yourself. As shown below.
Note:
1) The highlighted red box indicates your identity. Only you and your instructor can view and change the input of your table.
2) When the first column is grayed out, it means that self-evaluation is disabled.
Step 2
Click the first cell of member 2. Since the total score is shared by team members, an editor window will pop up (Michaelsen Method). As shown below.
Please refer to the screenshot below, label A shows the base point, label D: total points, label B: question, label C: the area where you assign points to team members.
Step 3
To assign points.
Click the text box under Member 2. As shown below.
Since team members are sharing the total points, you may want to start with the members who deserve the highest score, or vice versa.
Now enter the score for member 2 and press Enter, and then the editor window will evenly distribute the remaining points to other members.
Note that the text box for member 2 is now grayed out, indicating that the number is locked. As shown below.
Now click another member. As shown below.
Enter a score and then press Enter. Again, the number you entered will be locked, and the editor window will help distribute the remaining points to the rest of the members evenly. As shown below.
Repeat this process until you believe that all members have earned their points fairly.
Tips:
1) You can choose the member that you think should get the highest or lowest scores and at any order.
2) You don't have to traverse everyone. That is, you can save your work at any time.
Step 4
Click OK to save it. As shown below.
Step 5
Repeat steps 2-4 to complete the questions B and C. As shown below.
Step 6
Questions D to F are text based questions. Type your answers directly into the boxes.
